ALLEY MILL, OZARKS MO 2019

This spectacular mill was on our route as we dove to Denver for the Summer in 2019.  We stopped for the evening to grab one dusk shot of this spectacular spring/mill combo.  Although normally I would capture anything with flowing water with hot lights, I photographed this project with Flashpoint strobes making use of their small footprint and easy to use wireless power variation.  Using stobes with long exposures did case s

Built in 1894 by George Washington McCaskill it replaced an earlier mill on the same site.  In its working years, the mill would process wheat flower driven by the spring, which provided content water power to run the rollers.
