McDowell Sonoran Preserve 2021

There is nothing like walking out into the desert at the end of a day, the sun low in the sky the bone dry air still ripping water from your mouth.  You spy the location you were after then let the sun dip below the horizon and let night settle in.  This project was the second to incorporate drone-based lighting as a primary lighting source.  In fact for many of the shots it was the only source.

The McDowell Sonoran Preserve is just on the outskirts of Scottsdale Arizona.  This location is chocked full of amazing sights ready to be photographed.
