OFFICE SPACES TV EPISODE
Office Spaces TV and Kalyn Rothous invited me to take part in their exciting project at the Brandstar HQ. This was a great opportunity to bring the architectural photography medium to a larger audience!
In 2007 HGTV shot an episode of Small Space Big Style featuring myself and the tiny grotto hideaway I was living in at the time.
My work of the Virgilio Barco Library was hosted by the local Bogota government and displayed on giant 5′ x 3′ displays in the exclusive park 93. As a celebration of the work, the Mayor of Bogota held an exclusive opening at the park. This allowed the residents to meet mike and his work which was provided to the government for use of promotion of this amazing architectural monument designed by Rogiolo Salmona.
THE ELASTIC MIND PROJECT
The Elastic Mind Project was founded in 2010 by Fania Castro and Mike Butler to explore and find artistic solutions to the generational poverty plaguing Bogotá.
In 2018 Mike was interviewed for an expose on the Friday evening news in Bogota regarding his work in Colombia with the Virgilio Barco Library.
