Description
Interstitium examines the spaces between states. Between visibility and erasure. Between the earthly and the infinite.
In this work, fallen driftwood is revealed beneath a star-saturated sky. Drone light carves form from darkness while long exposure allows the heavens to register their immense stillness. The shoreline becomes a threshold, not a location.
The trees read like fragments of a larger structure. Or like constellations that have collapsed to the ground.
What is depicted is not night, but scale.
The image occupies the interstitium between the violence of tides and the silence of galaxies. A place where time feels suspended, and matter begins to resemble memory.
