Description
Here, the body of the tree has relinquished its vertical claim.
What remains is not a form, but a pressure.
The light no longer sculpts upward.
It spreads outward.
The shadows lengthen and take on autonomy, extending the subject beyond its physical edge.
This image was made where the full tide had recently withdrawn, where wet sand still held the temperature of the water, where drone light crossed moonlight and both dissolved into motion.
The interstitium in this work is not a space between objects, but between moments. Between the event and its echo.
Between structure and memory.
Between the tree and the shadow it teaches the ground to carry.
