Description
This was my first image created at Driftwood Beach and remains a defining piece of the series.
The tree’s skeletal structure is illuminated against the vast blackness of the night sky, with only a faint trace of ocean floating behind it.
The stars offer no comfort, only depth.
What emerges is a confrontation between form and infinity.
Between something rooted and something endless.
The image is quiet, but it is not passive.
It is about standing.
About remaining.
About a structure briefly held in light against the enormity of night.
