Photographing a tower like World Tower Block E in the heart of downtown Miami isn’t something you simply show up and shoot. In a city this dense, every angle, every detail, every moment of light takes planning. There’s always a walkthrough before we even start, and often the first day on site becomes almost a second scout — testing perspectives, chasing light, and finding those angles that only work at certain hours.

Some places feel like they exist outside of time—Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island is one of them. Scattered with sun-bleached trees, their twisted trunks and sprawling branches create a dreamlike landscape where nature and the elements have sculpted something truly mesmerizing.
Photographing this place isn’t just about capturing its beauty; it’s about telling the story of resilience, transformation, and the raw power of nature. In this post, I’ll share my experience photographing Driftwood Beach, the techniques I used to highlight its ethereal qualities, and what makes this location a must-visit for photographers and travelers alike.

The success of this complex project was due to meticulous planning, a dedicated client team, and a refined workflow that ensures every image is technically perfect and emotionally impactful. The post underscores the importance of professionalism and collaboration in delivering exceptional hospitality photography.

Despite the drone’s creative potential, the tight urban environment posed challenges, limiting its effectiveness. Through multiple visits and exploring unconventional angles, I captured the building’s unique essence, proving the importance of persistence and creativity in architectural photography.
When it comes to architectural photography, there are two main styles: traditional and modern. Traditional architectural photography focuses on the aesthetics of the building, while modern architectural photography aims to capture the structure’s function and purpose.
