Photographing a tower like World Tower Block E in the heart of downtown Miami isn’t something you simply show up and shoot. In a city this dense, every angle, every detail, every moment of light takes planning. There’s always a walkthrough before we even start, and often the first day on site becomes almost a second scout — testing perspectives, chasing light, and finding those angles that only work at certain hours.
This blog post highlights my extensive experience in hospitality photography, tracing my journey from a major shoot at Marriott Marco Island in 2004 to a recent, year-long project at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando in 2023. The Waldorf Astoria shoot involved over 100 shots, captured in multiple phases, showcasing the hotel’s grandeur and elegance. The success of this complex project was due to meticulous planning, a dedicated client team, and a refined workflow that ensures every image is technically perfect and emotionally impactful. The post underscores the importance of professionalism and collaboration in delivering exceptional hospitality photography.
